A tweet from the social media account of the Shiba Inu ecosystem suggested that a new partnership between the meme-inspired cryptocurrency and the North American luxury brand Bugatti group is being announced.

The project shared a tweet by the Shib account with more than 3.6 million followers on the microblogging platform. It also included a short video showing various shiboshis being carried in briefcases, luggage bags, and accessories. It also tagged Bugatti Group's official social media account.

Shiboshis are nonfungible tokens (NFTs), that are exclusive to the Shiba Inu community. They were first launched in October 2022. The tweet by Shib comes just after the Bugatti group announced its first-ever NFT projects in November 2022 in partnership with the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection.

The luxury brand, based in Montreal, partnered with BAYC to print unique NFTs onto luggage and crossbody bags. Soon, international retailers will be able to see them on their websites.

Andrew Hattem, Bugatti Group CEO, stated at the time that the company was always looking for new ways of pushing the envelope and believes Web 3 is at forefront of contemporary culture. Its announcement read:

According to reports, the SHIBArmy was adding 600 new holders daily in December, despite the ongoing crypto bear markets. This is a decrease from the 1,500 wallets that held $SHIB in December 2017.
