UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT), which began accepting orders for the redesigned sedan B-segment from February 24, 2013, was prior to the official launch last night of the fourth-generation Toyota Vios. The company announced that it has received over 5,000 bookings in the time since the order books were opened.
At yesterday's event, UMWT president Datuk Rajindran Kurusamy revealed this."The response to the all-new Toyota Vios was phenomenal. We have received more than 5,000 orders since we announced our order-taking date of February 24, 2023.He said that this is a testament of the popularity of all-new Toyota Vios on the Malaysian market.

Based on the Daihatsu New Global Architecture the Vios has been updated to offer two options. The base E is priced at RM89600 on-the road without insurance and the top-spec G at RM95,000.
The petrol engine is a 1.5 litre 2NR-VE 1.5 litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol that produces 106 PS (104 hp), and 138 Nm of torque. The front wheels are driven by a CVT and the mill has DOHC and Dual VVT–i.
The Vios features include 17-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, LED headlamps with sequential turn signals, and a Qi wireless charging. A nine-inch touchscreen head unit with wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, keyless entry, engine start, rain-sensing wipers, and a 64-color ambient light system are also available.
The standard Vios range includes the following safety features: pre-collision system (autonomous accident braking), lane departure warning and lane departure prevention; lane keeping control; pedal misoperation control; blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert; 3D panoramic view monitor.
